Outbrain is seeking a highly-motivated and passionate sales leader to accelerate our growing agency business. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships at multiple levels across the top agency holding companies. In partnership with our global commercial and strategy leadership, you’ll develop frameworks to easily leverage Outbrain for full funnel solutions from brand awareness to driving sales. You’ll drive our strategic agency partnerships and agreements, while also leading a team responsible for sales and client relationships. Expertise in video and programmatic advertising will be essential.
A day in the life:
Management of Agency Sales team for Northern Europe
Leveraging a strong base of agency contacts to help the sales team grow their business.
Plan, direct and implement sales strategy including programmatic channels
Conduct sales planning, leading to accurate forecasting of business
Negotiate and establish agency agreements with key agency groups
Maintain contact with key markets and customers, while maximizing potential volume
Plan and direct Salesforce activities to maximize profit from all segments of the market and provide accurate budgets and sales forecasts
Exceed sales, pricing and yield goals and develop scalable solutions and improvements to support Outbrain’s continued growth
Create and communicate sales plans and progress to executive staff, including special events, incentives and lead management
Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, operations, marketing, business development, sales planning and account management
Serve as an industry thought leader
What you’ll bring:
10 + years experience in digital media sales/services with a focus on agencies required, preferably with a background in programmatically brought and sold Display, as well as Video
Extensive network of influential contacts at major agency holding companies
Experience building and leading a team of passionate and ambitious sellers
Proven track record in fostering relationships with leaders of agency holding companies with well-regarded reputation, strategic mindset, and track-record of delivering results
Ability to negotiate and establish agency agreements with key agency groups
Consistently demonstrates the ability to exceed revenue targets and to raise the bar with innovative ways to provide value to clients
The ability and willingness to travel domestically as needed for client meetings
Proven expertise in video and programmatic advertising
